Education urgently needs to be made a priority in our country and in conflict-affected countries.  Millions of children and adolescents are being deprived of a quality education that could transform their lives and our future on this planet.  If we believe the children are the future, then why are cut backs draining our schools of opportunity, resources, and sustainable success?  Or why are schools not even a priority in war-torn areas where education is a clear indicator of future non-violence? 

A good education plays a critical role in helping young people resist recruitment into gangs, violence, crime, and extremist groups.  Better provisions, better pay for teachers, better safety measures, better facilities, and better educational funding is necessary for us to turn the failure of the educational crisis into a global success story TODAY!
